Fancy Fries – February Diary

February has already been a busy and exciting month for the Fancy Fries team, with early starts, new locations, and some truly unique catering experiences.

We recently had the pleasure of providing catering for a film crew working in Leeds, producing a series of top-secret adverts for a well-known supermarket. It was a fascinating day behind the scenes, surrounded by cameras, creativity, and an incredibly talented hair and makeup team — although we were so busy serving that a Fancy Fries makeover will have to wait for next time!

From film sets to riverside views, another memorable day saw us set up beside the beautiful River Aire, catering for a celebration event for a UK company specialising in flour and baking ingredients. Their commitment to sustainability was inspiring — harnessing the power of the river through a hydroelectric system to reduce fossil fuel use, while also protecting local wildlife with a dedicated bypass for salmon and eels. A brilliant example of responsible growth in action.

Coming Up Next

Next week, you can find Fancy Fries at Askham Bryan Wildlife & Conservation Park near York supporting their Back to the Wild half-term event from 16–20 February. With children attending free, it promises to be a fantastic few days of bushcraft, bird-feeder making, animal encounters, and family fun — and of course, plenty of great food.

As always, thank you for your continued support. We’re looking forward to another fantastic month serving fresh, delicious food wherever the road takes us.
